For uninterrupted connectivity, consider purchasing a local SIM card with a generous data package from providers like Telkomsel or XL Axiata. If you’re renting somewhere and you will rely only on the wifi it’s a big chance you will be very frustrated at some times. Make sure to test the speed yourself before renting a place, everyone is saying the internet is good even when it’s not. I found that places using Starlink are the best.

Driving a scooter is the most dangerous most travelers do in Lombok. It’s great to do, and I recommend it, but be careful. You will often see that it’s tourists who drive much faster than locals. Drive slowly, and use a helmet, it’s not worth ending up in a hospital or worse.

Lombok is a beautiful island that offers more than just stunning workspaces. It is also a paradise for surfers, with great surfing opportunities available throughout the year. From bustling cities to serene beaches, Lombok has it all. Additionally, Lombok Airport provides easy access to other destinations in Indonesia, making it a perfect base for weekend trips.
I stayed in Kuta for most of my time in Lombok. It’s a great base to do day trips to waterfalls and beaches. If you’re a bigger group then renting a car is also great. Bali is more developed than Lombok, if that’s what your looking for then Lombok might not be for you.
