Price for visiting Istiqlal Mosque

The entrance is free, kind of. You need to have a guide and stay with the guide during the stay. When you are finished the guide will ask for a donation, you don’t have to give very much. I gave the same as the entry to other public museums in Jakarta (5,000).

Modesty is required for both men and women. Women are provided headscarves for covering their hair and both should wear clothing that covers their arms and legs. It’s possible to borrow sarong if you don’t have appropriate clothing with you.
