What to do in Padang Bai? We have made a list for those who love the beach, and exploring around. It’s the perfect destination for a day trip or a relaxing evening before catching a ferry.
1. Padang Bai Beach: A Gateway to Tranquility
Padang Bai Beach is the first beach you will see when you come to Padangbai. If you are at a central hostel or hotel then Padangbai is probably just a few minutes by walking away. Get a good breakfast at one of the restaurants, but this is not the beach you want to spend your day on.
It’s a good place to book activities, buy snacks/water, and for restaurants. But make sure you go to the other beaches around, like Blue Lagoon Beach!
2. Exploring Blue Lagoon Beach
A short walk from the town center, Blue Lagoon Beach is a picturesque cove famed for its sparkling azure waters. It’s a snorkeling paradise, offering a chance to swim among vibrant corals and diverse marine life. The beach is less crowded, making it perfect for a tranquil day by the sea.
Many boats come from Padangbai to snorkel here, but you don’t need a boat for that. It’s only a 10-minute walk away from Padang Bai Beach! There is also a small restaurant there, it was not very impressive though.
3. Bias Tugel Beach – White Sand Beach
Bias Tugel, also known as White Sand Beach, is a hidden gem that offers a more secluded beach experience. Accessible via a short trek over a hill, this beach is a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle. Its clear waters and quiet atmosphere make it a must-visit for beach lovers.
There is also a motorbike parking, but walking from the city is just 15 minutes. You will see signs for where to go. When I was there the waves were very big, and not many people were swimming at all. Perfect place to rent a sunbed and get your tan!
